About Datadog Brand Colors

Datadog's purple identity is anchored by a dog named Bits, supplied in vertical and horizontal configurations. The company identifies the vertical version as primary and keeps Bits white, either paired with purple on a light field or reversed on purple and other dark backgrounds. This makes the character readable without turning it into an independently recolorable mascot.

Datadog publishes separate purple values for the logo and for backgrounds or accents, so one HEX must not be stretched across every role. Its current guide prohibits gradients, boxes, outlines, altered proportions, and color changes. Monitoring severity, service health, and alert state must also use labels, icons, and patterns rather than borrowing brand purple as operational meaning.

This independent reference does not distribute Datadog or Bits artwork, represent an integration, certify monitoring results, imply endorsement, or grant trademark permission.
