Necessary storage and consent preference

Colors Encyclopedia stores the value colors-analytics-consent-v1 in local browser storage after a visitor allows or rejects optional Analytics. This preference prevents the banner from being shown on every page and can be changed through Cookie settings in the footer.

Hosting and security infrastructure may use necessary cookies or request metadata for delivery, load balancing, abuse prevention, and service integrity. Colors Encyclopedia does not require an account to browse public pages or JSON APIs.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate usage such as popular pages, general device categories, and navigation patterns. When enabled, Google may set identifiers including _ga and related _ga cookies. Their availability and duration depend on the active Analytics configuration and browser controls.

For visitors detected in Europe, the Google Analytics script is not requested before consent. Outside Europe it may load directly. Choosing Reject optional keeps Analytics off; revoking a previous choice updates consent and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this domain.

Cookie settings

Use Cookie settings in the Trust & Legal section of the footer to allow, reject, or later revoke optional Analytics. You can also clear the saved preference through browser storage settings. Rejecting Analytics does not prevent access to colors, tools, pages, or dataset APIs.

Grow and other services

Grow is initialized separately from the optional Google Analytics choice so the site integration can be detected and operated independently. Grow, hosting, Cloudflare, and future advertising services may process technical request data or use their own storage according to their respective policies and configuration.
