About Netflix Brand Colors

Netflix’s official brand guidance treats color as an identifier rather than a decorative afterthought. It describes Netflix Red as the signature color of both the N Symbol and the Wordmark, and publishes #E50914 as the standard digital red. The guidance also documents a darker red for the symbol and restricted black or white wordmarks when production or contrast prevents use of the standard red.

That hierarchy helps explain why red, black, and white form such a recognizable screen-oriented palette: red supplies identification, while dark and light neutrals provide the controlled contrast needed across artwork, video, and interface surfaces. Netflix also recommends checking logo readability against the background instead of assuming that the red will work over every image.
